In "C Jam Blues," the Barcelona violinist Marta Sierra invites the famous jazz Manouche guitarist from Strasbourg, Yorgui Loeffler. Accompanied on rhythm guitar by the guitarist's son, Magnio Loeffler, and by the Parisian double bassist David Gousset. Sierra and Loeffler maintain an interesting dialogue, managing to create a fantastic album of fourteen old school swing-style tracks. They play standards from the 1930s-40s, such as well-known tunes as "C-Jam Blues" or "It don't Mean a Thing" by Duke Ellington or Morgan Lewis' "How High the Moon." Also adding some modern gypsy jazz classics from the 50s and up to the 70s, such as the waltz “Dolores” by Tchan Tchou Vidal, the anonymous “Swing Gitan” or the ballad “Black Orpheus” by brazilian guitar master Luiz Bonfá.
"Peppy pulses in the style of Django Reinhardt’s Hot Club of France are delivered by violinist Marta Sierra along with solo guitarist Yorgui Loeffler, rhythm man Magnio Loeffler and bassist David Gousset on this collection of Depression era beauties. Sierra’s strings are reminiscent of Stephane Grappelli, gloriously sighing on “Back Home In Indiana” and “How High The Moon”, with gypsy solos abounding by Yorgi in the title track and a festive “Swing Gitan”. The two stepping beats are relentless, even taking a trip to Brazil via a caravan on a thrilling read of “Black Orpheus”, with Sierra sighing richly on “Clair De Lune”. This one’s a keeper!"

"La violinista barcelonina Marta Sierra és de les que piquen pedra en l'àmbit del jazz manouche, fins al punt de fer-se un forat a l'escena parisenca, la capital i meca de l'anomenat swing europeu. És a la ciutat de la llum a on va conèixer el guitarrista solista d'Estrasburg Yorgui Loeffler, cosí llunyà de Birélli Lagrène. Plegats signen un treball en companyia del guitarrista rítmic Magnio Loeffler i el contrabaixista David Gousset, una base rítmica certament sòlida.
L'altre gran mèrit és l'elecció de Yorgui Loeffler com a improvisador, virtuós de registre bonic, bona traça i bon gust. El quart vèrtex del quartet, la mateixa Marta Sierra, du, com correspon, el pes melòdic i, és clar, també el d'improvisadora, amb un estil, en ambdós papers, incisiu. Els dos solistes i la resta de la banda interpreten un repertori amb grans clàssics dels jazz dels anys trenta i quaranta. Sense faramalla ni cap variació de cap mena van directe a barraca, fil per randa, recreant tal vegada el sabor més autèntic del gènere. En concret, s'atreveixen amb peces de Duke Ellington, com 'It Don't Mean a Thing' i el tema que titula el disc, 'C Jam Blues', juntament amb 'I've Found a New Baby', 'I'ts Only a Paper Moon' o l'arxiconegut 'How High the Moon', entre d'altres. També hi inclouen cançons d'altres èpoques, com per exemple 'Dolores' (Tchan-Tchou Vidal), en aquest cas amb un, diguem-ne, contrapuntístic ritme de vals, o la també molt coneguda 'Black Orpheus' —o 'Manhã de Carnaval'—, del brasiler Luiz Bonfá, i, per descomptat, clàssics del manouche com 'Swing gitan', amb un lluït solo de Loeffler.
En conjunt, Marta Sierra i Yorgui Loeffler presenten un repertori ampli i divers per coronar un treball que, parafrasejant el gran periodista Juan Claudio Cifuentes "Cifu", és de manouche i prou."
