This album marks a new chapter in my journey: my first record entirely made up of original compositions, some new, some revisited with fresh arrangements.
I am deeply grateful to Cristiano Arcelli, whose incredible arrangements brought my long-held musical dreams to life. The extraordinary presence of Becca Stevens and Stacey Kent —two of my favourite voices on earth— lifted this music to a higher place.
Thank you to Joanna Wojtkiewicz for capturing the spirit of “Hope” in words, and to Ineke Heijliger for revealing the soul of “Memories of Love” through her lyrics. The Jazz Acoustic String Quartet —Cesare Carretta, Silvia Maffeis, Monica Vatrini and Enrico Guerzoni— enriched these pieces with warmth and depth.
