Guillem Arnedo was born in Barcelona in 1980. In 1995, he began his studies at the Taller de Músics in Barcelona and studied percussion at the Terrassa Conservatory while working with the Sant Cugat Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, he became the first person in Spain to graduate with a degree in jazz drums from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC). In 2007, he received a scholarship from the Generalitat of Catalonia to study in New York with John Riley.

Since 2006, he has coordinated jazz jam sessions at Bar Estudiantil and Club Continental, collaborated with various soloists on the national and international jazz scene, and also worked with the circus shows "Call Me Maria" by Sergi Estabanell and "Circus Klezmer" by Adrian Schawarztein, as well as with the French singer Ô de Mon Chèri, with whom he toured throughout Europe.

In 2014, he started his own band as leader: Guillem Arnedo Band & Celeste Alías, releasing “Let's Sing Again” and “Let's Sing O. Hammerstein II”. In 2018, he recorded his first trio album, “Love Them Madly”, with Michael Kanan.

Currently, he can also be heard playing with the Matyas Bartha Trio, the Jorge Rossy Trio, Fernando Brox, the Doin' The Thing Trio (co-led with pianist Jose Carra from Malaga), and the band The Black Barbies.
