Kanan, Fumero & Arnedo Trio

The famous and debatable phrase “writing about music is like dancing about architecture”, attributed to Thelonious Monk, highlights the difficulty or absurdity of translating the art of soundin to words. Be that as it may, any opportunity is a Good one to make our intentions clear when it comes to recording music as a trio. We believe in music as an immediate form of communication, one that creates something unique, rooted in the present and projected toward the listener. We base our communication on empathy, on a love for the sound of each of our voices, and we share a common foundation: swing and tradition. The result of this album is the fruit of years of shared musical experience alonside Michael Kanan and Horacio Fumero, which on this occasion crystallizes in seven pieces drawn from the American songbook, along with one composition by Michael and another by myself.
