This CD release contains the only two quartet recordings made by tenor saxophonist Benny Golson as a leader during the 1960s (the albums "Turning Point" and "Free"). It also contains the bonus track, "Impromptune", which has been included as it was the only quartet selection from an album titled "Take a Number From 1 to 10", which presented Golson in different formations ranging from a tenor sax solo to a tentet.
