One of the greatest trumpet players, Roy Eldridge was a true modern precursor considered the link between Louis Armstrong and Dizzy Gillespie. This Vogue & Verve / Clef 1950-52 sessions started a new musical period for Roy's leadership when he was a top star in the JATP battles. Here you'll find a Parisian quintet with the outstanding presence of Zoot Sims, a Buddy Tate co-leader date, plus the Oscar Peterson fabulous '52 quartet with Barney Kessel & Ray Brown. An irresistible chance to enjoy the legendary "Little Jazz" punch.
