Leo Geller is a guitarist, composer, and arranger based in Lyon, France. A lover of John Coltrane's music, he chose to dedicate his life to jazz and improvised music around the age of 19. He studied at the conservatories of Chalon-sur-Saône, Villeurbanne, and Lyon, and also took lessons with Gaël Horellou and Romain Pilon.

He showcases his compositions and unique style in his solo project: Leo Geller 4tet, with which he notably won the JazzContreBand Festival's talent competition in 2023 and has performed at Jazz à Vienne, Cosmo Jazz Festival, Rhino Jazz Festival, Crescent Jazz Festival, and many others. The project will release its first album on the prestigious Spanish label Fresh Sound New Talent in May 2026.

Since September 2025, he has organized La Jam Lio: a bi-monthly jazz jam session that has become an important and unifying event for the Lyon community. In 2026, he launched the Trane 63 project, a tribute to John Coltrane with the wonderful pianist Etienne Déconfin as a guest.

Inspired by musicians like Kurt Rosenwinkel and Bill Frisell, he is working to find a personal and sincere musical voice and to express it in the numerous projects he is involved in.
