Yuval Amihai is an Israeli born, New York City based jazz guitarist, composer, and educator. Yuval moved from Israel to Paris, France at the age of 24 and rapidly became a leading voice in the French jazz scene; he won several prestigious awards, including 1st Prize in the Jazz-A-Saint-Germain competition, the Grand Prize of La Defense National Jazz Competition, as well as the Best Composer Award. Amihai toured internationally and released three critically acclaimed records as a leader: "Yuval Amihai Ensemble" (2012), "Longing" (2015) and "Ain't Got Nothin' But the Blues" (2018).
His work was praised by critics and he was called “A master of melody” (FIP), “Virtuoso guitar player” (La Dépêche du Midi), “A rare delicacy” (Paris Capitale), “A Gem” (Jazz News Magazine), “An excellent Jazz musician” (Haaretz), and “He makes his guitar sing” (Les Dernières Nouvelles du Jazz).
