One of the most versatile and active musicians on the Iberian Peninsula in the European free jazz and improvised music scene. In the last ten years he has participated in numerous recordings (more than fifty) with musicians such as Andy Moor, Barry Guy, Olie Brice, Marcelo dos Reis, Carlos Zingaro, Ramon Prats or Agustí Fernández. He has performed at European festivals such as Jazz em Agosto in Lisbon (Portugal), Jazz A Lúz, in Luz-Saint-Sauveur (France) or Spontaneous Music Festival in Poznan (Poland), and more international ones such as the Buenos Aires Jazz Festival (Argentina), as well as at different clubs in Europe, Argentina, Cuba, Russia and Japan.

He lived for ten years in Barcelona, ​​where he grew as a musician playing with Agustí Fernández, Ramon Prats, Vasco Trilla, Núria Andorrà, Pablo Rega, Dani Dominguez, David Mengual or Massa Kamaguchi. Then, five years in Lisbon, where he consolidated himself as the creative, inventive and versatile musician that he is, playing with musicians such as João Lencastre, Carlos Zingaro, Gabriel Ferrandini, Herânin Faustino or Abdul Moaimem. And finally, two years in Copenhagen where he studied a master's degree at the RMC and played with Kresten Osgood, Henrik Olsson, Valeria Miracapillo, Hakon Berre or Aurelijus Uzamackis. He has also shared stages with Barry Guy, Andy Moor (the Ex), Joe Morris, Ernesto Rodrigues, Jordina Millà, Nicolas Field, Florian Stoffner, Silvia Bologniesi, Hugo Antunes, David Mengual, Paula Chocron, Don Malfon, Witold Olszak, Nuno Rebelo, Rafal Mazur, Ferran Fages, etc.

He leads his own projects such as A.C. I Tres Tambors, with whom he has released two albums “Els encants” (FSNT, 2012) and “Suite Salada” (Underpool, 2017); A.C i Kamarilla, with whom he has released “Aquella Cosa” (Underpool, 2022); and finally, CIREROT, his solo saxophone project, which in 2022 was presenting, throughout Europe, his latest work “ÂMAGO” (MuMu, 2021) with 30 concerts in more than 5 different countries. For more than fifteen years he has been part of DUOT, uninterruptedly, together with drummer Ramon Prats. He also cultivates the formation of duos with great musicians throughout Europe such as N. Field, F. Stoffner, W. Oleszac or F. Fages.

He is also part of projects such as Joao Lencastres Comunion, Fragoso Quinteto, Fail Better or Dissection Room, in Portugal; Granular Bastards or The Moms in Denmark, as well as Agustí Fernández Líquid Trio/Quintet or Clara Lai Quartet, in Catalonia. He has also been interested in interdisciplinary performances: in recent years he has performed with the dancers Jenny Nocedo (Cuba), Juliette Louste (Iceland), Tura Gomez Coll or Sonia Sanchez; the painters Antoni Carné and Xavier Gabriel or the visual artist Artur Tort.

Albert Cirera is an active participant in the organization of the Igualada Jazz Summer Festival as well as the “Cicle Cuir de Músiques Inclassificables” in the same capital of Anoia where he currently resides. Since 2024 he has been the creator and organizer, together with Ramon Prats, of the CIMIC (Circuit Itinerant de Música Improvisada de Catalonia).
