Malik Mezzadri was born on January 29, 1969 in Abidjan, but grew up in Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe, where he began playing flute at the age of 6. At 13 he took lessons with Marc Rovelas who introduced him to Bach, Xenakis, Ravel and Stockhausen.
At 17, he left Guadeloupe for Marseille and graduated from the Marseille Conservatory with a first prize in flute. He discovered jazz at the same time. As soon as he left the conservatory, he had the opportunity to play in the reggae group Human Spirit in which he remained for 10 years. Malik then multiplies collaborations as a flutist-arranger with Lio, Teri Moïse, Laurent Garnier, Saint Germain, Juan Rozoff, DJ Gilb'R, and FFF.
In 1992 he founded his first Magic Malik Orchestra which recorded the same year his first model which appeared in 1997 under the title "HWI Project" featuring 13 musicians. He then meets Julien Lourau who tours with...
