When the first of these Command albums by Warren Kime (1928-2013) Brass Impact Orchestra came out in February 1967, it was publicized with quotes such as this: You are about to hear the most amazing musical sounds ever put on records! It became one of the best-selling instrumental albums on the label, and reached the charts. Just to prove their first album was no fluke, Explosive Brass Impact was released in September that same year and was saluted as: Even more explosive than the original album that rocked the recording world! The sound was sharp, clear and arresting, and the bold brass musicianship rates A all the way. The third of the series, Brass Impact Goin Someplace! was a collection of great songs from all around the world, some of which are also included here as a bonus.

Kimes unique mixture of flugelhorns, trumpets and trombones, blended and extended by the voices of three girls and woodwind, served as the basis for some of the most remarkable orchestrations the world of popular music had ever heard.
