After a long period without new recordings available, Catalan pianist Joan
Monné comes back to the store‚s selves with a nice collection of standards. A right selected string of compositions by Miles Davis, Bill
Evans, Benny Golson and Cole Porter, played in a fresh and fluid
atmosphere. The trio combines virtuosity, some degree of innovation and
a very special volume control based on the musicians empathy, Monné
and drummer David Xirgu have been playing for more than 15 years.
