Its sometimes gently unfolding, liquid themes such as the opening Chamán or Cuando El Corazón can be delivered in voicings of translucent beauty, but there is also a tart toughness of purposive phrasing and chromatic colouring to enjoy, as on the piano-sparked El Talon Del Leviatan.
