More Live At The Showboat 1963 (previously Unissued)

This edition presents a complete unissued set by Coltrane at the Showboat in Philadelphia. It was recorded one week after the previous set that was presented on RLR88620.

McCoy Tyner was late that day, and so Trane played the first three tunes and most of the fourth in the unusual trio format of tenor sax/bass/drums.

Among other highlights, this set presents rare live versions by Coltrane of "Up 'Gainst the Wall" and "It's Easy to Remember", as well as the only existing testimony of Trane at the piano.
