This release presents for the first time ever on CD a complete 1955 performances by the JATP All Stars featuring Ben Webster, Lester Young, Dizz Gillespie, Roy Eldridge and Sonny Stitt among others. This concert only previously appeared divided on three long out of print LPs.
As a bonus, a rare set by a similar JATP group in Germany that same year, plus four previously unissued tunes from a 1949 Carnegie Hall JATP concert featuring Fats Navarro, Sonny Criss and Ella Fitzgerald.
