The distinguished tenor sax and bass tandem of John Coltrane and Paul Chambers recorded 58 separate sessions together, beginning with an October 27, 1955 Miles Davis Quintet and ending with Coltrane's legendary New Jersey, May 23, 1961 recording of "Africa Brass".
