This is the first disc from the young pianist from Badalona (Barcelona), Ismael Dueñas, who makes his debut with nine original pieces and accompanied by one of the Barcerlona scenes most powerful rhythm sections: Jordi Gardeñas on drums and Tom Warburton on bass.
The trio covers many different possibilities of the jazz trio formation: cool, waltz, blues, free, hardbop and right through to contemporary. On Llac, the pianist pays tribute to the contemporary composer Frederic Mompou, where he entertains with one of his Paisatges (Lanscapes).The result is a disc made up of very distinct flavours filtered thought the creativity, sensibility and humor of Ismael Dueñas.
