A simple trio, piano, bass and drums and yet the sound is so much more. Know for their more mellow brand of jazz, this double program shows a more dynamic side. Never one to jump out front and grandstand Ramsey is content to stay within the lines and play nice. And he makes it work for him and us as well. A relaxed cover photo, although obviously posed, still makes the trio look comfortable and natural. Just like their music.
