Contains the complete albums: "Butterfly With Hiccups" (Sextet & Quartet Recordings) and for the first time on CD, "Night Lights". Also includes a bonus track of Gerry Mulligan performing the ballad Night Lights on clarinet at a Hollywood studio session on October 21, 1965.

This release features the complete studio sessions of Mulligans outstanding sextet with Farmer, Brookmeyer, Jim Hall, Bill Crow and Dave Bailey recorded during September and October, 1963 and released on Phillips Night Lights album and Limelights exceptional Butterfly With Hiccups LP.

Also included here as bonus tracks is the complete quartet session featuring Brookmeyer, Crow and Bailey recorded on June 25, 1964 and released on Limelights Butterfly With Hiccups LP.

The final bonus track consists of an exquisite version of Gerry Mulligan performing the ballad Night Lights on clarinet at a Hollywood studio on October 21, 1965, accompanied by pianistbass. Percussion legend Candido Camero was also present for the April 6 date.
