One of the most ubiquitous arrangers of the small screen, guitarist Mundell Lowe entered a New York studio in February 1959 and June 1960 with an all-star octet and tentet in order to produce two outstanding albums dedicated to the most exciting music on TV. Due to his distinguished 50-plus years in television, it is only fitting that it was the great Mundell Lowe who decided to present us with the two outstanding TV Action Jazz sessions contained in their entirety on this release.
Lowe’s prolific television curriculum includes the music for such shows as “Hawaii 5-0”, “The Andersonville Trial”, “Starsky And Hutch”, “Lucy (Lucille Ball) Comes To Nashville”, “Love On a Rooftop” and “Strike Force”.
