Soul Jazz records are releasing this super-rare lost classic deep jazz album by Hannibal Peterson and The Sunrise Orchestra. Hannibal Peterson has played with Pharoah Sanders, Gil Evans, Roland Kirk, Elvin Jones, Archie Shepp and many more. Influenced by everyone from John Coltrane to Cecil Taylor the Sunrise Orchestra has been in existence for over 30 years. Hannibals "Children of The Fire" is a unique deep jazz album composed as a suite and featuring a full orchestra.

Originally self-released on the tiny Sunrise label in 1974, the album is a timeless classic, previously only known to collectors. This album is one of a three releases that coincide with Soul Jazz Records "New Thing", the story of Deep Jazz in the USA, featuring music by Sun Ra, The Art Ensemble of Chicago, Alice Coltrane, Hannibal Peterson and more.
