This edition contains all existing music from the legendary pairing of Art Tatum and Ben Webster. Considered one of the best jazz albums ever, this was to be Tatums last visit to a recording studio, for he died less than two months after these tracks were recorded.

A complete quartet session by Webster with another celebrated pianist, Teddy Wilson, and a beautiful Art Tatum solo piano rendering of our opening song have been added as a bonus.

Notes:

"The final volume in this very worthy series is a comparatively relaxed affair, a quartet set with tenor-saxophonist Ben Webster. Webster lets Tatum fill the background with an infinite number of notes while emphasizing his warm tenor tone in the forefront on a variety of melodic ballads and standards. The combination works very well."

Scott Yanow -All Music Guide

"I listen to records by Duke and Tatum mostly, all the time. Theyre always refreshing, you know."

Ben Webster, interviewed by Les Tomkins (1965)
