Katie Viqueira's singing career started in her hometown, Buenos Aires, where she performed for a number of years. In 1997 she moved to Boston, where she met this artistic encounter. It was born what would later become The Other Side: a fusion of Argentina's traditional music, both tango and folklore, with jazz overtones. The idea took its definitive form when the incorporation of the other members brought along their creativity and unique style. Katie has developed a highly personal interpretative style as a soloist. When performing she creates a delicate but energetic connection with the audience, that spectators recognize and reward at every performance. According to the critics, "Katie Viqueira has a beautiful voice which she knows how to use, articulate and graduate, quite suitably, according to different styles in her singing ...
